Biography
Dr. Susmita Suggala, received her PhD and M Phil in Marketing Management from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She has a rich academic experience of 14 years in the area of Marketing. She is associated with LJIMBA since 2017. She holds her master’s degree in Marketing from Nagpur University and her Bachelor’s in Science (Electronics) from Shri Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh. Prior to academics, she was in the corporates for three and half years as an analyst in marketing research company Pathfinders (a research wing of Lowe Lintas) and as a business development manager for a start-up offering web solutions.
She has written and published numerous case studies and research papers in reputed national and international journals. She has also published book chapters in Emerald, Palgrave and Palgrave Macmillan. A research paper on her thesis was accepted and presented in the academic conference by American Marketing Association (AMA). Her research interests are relationship management, socio-cultural aspects of consumer behaviour and healthcare marketing.
Her passion for facilitating students drives her to excel in her field. She firmly believes that critical thinking and a problem-solving approach is the need of the hour and incorporates the same in her teaching pedagogy. She mentors’ students in their projects and future endeavours. She has taught subjects like Advertising Management, Brand Management, Retail Management, Marketing Management, Supply Chain Management, Consumer Behaviour and Public Relations Management.
