Dr. Pratihari is a native of Odisha and has over 16 years of industry, academic, and research experience in marketing and business development. He has been associated with well-recognized business schools, corporate, government and media houses in research, teaching, consulting, and various community development programs. Presently he working with as Birla Global University as an Assistant Professor, Marketing Area, prior to this, Dr. pratihari was working as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the marketing area at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad.

His research interests include corporate brand management, marketing analytics, customer engagement and experience management, CSR, Marketing strategy at the bottom of the Pyramid (BOP), Financial inclusion, and Business modeling. He has published peer-reviewed research articles in journals of international reputes. Some of them include - Journal of Product and Brand Management, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Social Responsibility Journal, and Vikalpa: The Journal for Decision Makers. As an Ad Hoc responsibility, he is an active reviewer to various international journals of repute such as European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Information Management, Journal of Promotion Management, Journal of Environmental Planning and Management, Social Responsibility Journal, South Asian Journal of Business Studies, and The Service Industries Journal.

He has worked with companies like Honeywell. Inc, Shalimar Paints, Ceasefire Industries Limited, and projects from Fullerton India, NABARD, and LV Prasad Eye Institute in different managerial and research capacities with a PAN India exposure. His association as a consultant with two venture-funded companies called Abacus System and Idea Technosolutions Pvt Ltd., Bhubaneswar has proven the milestone of success in the domain of both B2B and B2C markets. As a part of MOOC, he is associated with Odisha State Open University (OSOU) as a course writer for developing Open Education Resources (OER) in the area of Marketing and entrepreneurship. He is also a member of The Case Centre, Ivey Cases, Harvard Executive Education, and INFORMS Society for Marketing Science (ISMS). Besides, he has been invited as a resource person in various workshops, FDPs, and MDPs from premier B-Schools in India. In addition to his expertise in multivariate data analysis, his forte is to conduct and promote qualitative research methodology and applications for academic scholars. He is a professional sales trainer, recognized by Ma FOI Academy and LIFT Academy (the training wing of Ceasefire Industries Ltd.) and certified for Advance Selling Skills.

Towards his credit, he is a B.Sc., MBA (Marketing), qualified UGC-NET, and FDP from IIM Ahmedabad. He was also awarded the doctoral fellowship from ICSSR, New Delhi, during his Ph.D. from the School of Management, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India. He has also been honored with “Honeywell Future Driver” in India for the year 2008. He is an active volunteer and consultant in organizing various Industry-Academy-Society collaborative projects for sustainable growth. He is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. He also offers customized training & consulting programs to corporate and educational Institutions in sales and marketing domains.

Successfully conducted the “Inclusive Eye Care” project for rural people of Khordha under the mission for Inclusive Growth, Govt. of India, in collaboration with LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Bhubaneswar during 2012 - 2013. LVPEI is a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Prevention of Blindness in India.

Successfully conducted the project titled “Skill Development at School Level in Rural Odisha” project during 2012 - 2013 in collaboration with Z Engineers Construction Pvt. Ltd., a leading and the most trusted name in the Real Estate Industry in Odisha, India.

Successfully organized a district level “Art and Debate Competition” among the rural based Primary and High School students of Khordha District, Odisha during March 2013.
