Biography
Professor of Management, Organizations and Leadership with international path across higher education, industry and consulting. My expertise is the design of OD and learning programmes for developing creative, leaderful work in a changing world, often but not limited to sustainability issues.
At the centre of my work ist the development of people as creative, leaderful actors in organizational ecosystems and dynamic environments. My approach to human development supports people and organizations, enabling them to engage resourcefully and creatively with the systems of which they are part, expand their space of action, and take ownership for projects that bring us in better alignment with the needs of our changing world. My research advances an understanding of organizing and change work in a context of tensions and disruptive change (such as leading for sustainability).
I hold more than 25 years experience in change management, organisational development and leadership development across diverse sectors. Areas of expertise: leadership development, people and organizations, HRM, career development, employee engagement, responsible management, sustainability, ‘new work’, project management, teams and communications, inter-cultural communications, change management, vision co-design, action learning, systemic coaching, community engagement, learning communities, knowledge management, brand strategy, marketing and customer engagement, performance management, digital transformation, online learning, research with people, design/arts-based and embodied methods.
I have set up, lead and contributed to innovative programmes. Among these are: * SRH Berlin's unique BA Creative Industries Management and MA IM Creative Leadership, which link business, the arts and social sciences in transdisciplinary, project-oriented and artful ways, as well as its MBA and BA International Business Studies. * the leadership and career development activities in the Bath Full-time/Executive MBA (recognized through high rankings in the “Personal Development” category of the FT's ‘Which MBA?’); * the Bath MSc in Advanced Management Practice * executive development programmes for a range of clients * organizational development for sustainability through co-design
I studied Business Strategy, Organizational Behaviour, Analysis, Design & Management of Information Systems and International Studies at London Business School, London School of Economics, Boston University, University of Miami and University of Trier, and am committed to continuous professional development in my field.
