Tae Jung (TJ) Yoon is an assistant professor (lecturer) in the UCL School of Management. He earned his Ph.D. from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He received his M.D. from the College of Medicine, Korea University, an M.S. from Stanford University, and a B.S. from Seoul National University.

Research

TJ’s research interests are in quantitative marketing, empirical industrial organization, health economics, and public policy. His current emphasis is on quality information disclosure and its impact on consumer welfare. Specifically, his current project argues that consumer reallocation, which is induced by quality information disclosure, may lead to a loss in consumer welfare. Using his expertise in medicine, he finds evidence on this from cardiac surgery data.
