Academic Division: Arts & HumanitiesTanya Pérez-Brennan is an Adjunct Professor at Regis College, where she teaches an intermediate Spanish course for healthcare professionals, and at Babson College, where she teaches elementary and intermediate Spanish. She also works as a freelance Spanish interpreter for the Trial Court of Massachusetts and is a former medical interpreter at Boston Medical Center. Her teaching credits also include serving as a Spanish Language Coach for medical interpreting courses. As a freelance journalist, she was a regular contributor to Foxnewslatino.com and The Boston Globe. She was a staff writer for The Orlando Sentinel and an arts columnist and features writer for The Florida Times-Union. Other publication credits include a short story excerpt in The Bennington Review (June 2015,) an excerpt of her novel-in-progress, The Land of Demons and Dreams, in Asterix Journal (November 2015,) book reviews for The Watermark, the literary journal of the University of Massachusetts Boston, and Consequence Magazine, poems in Liberation Poetry: An Anthology (Trilingual Press, 2012), and Zalacaín, The Harvard Journal of Latin America. Tanya has an MFA from Bennington College in Creative Writing & Literature, an MS in Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and a BA in Latin American Studies (independent major) from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
