Biography

Dr. Tarryn NK Paquet is an assistant professor of Architecture and Urban Planning at Qatar University. She has a love of people, teaching and the built environment, especially in the subjects of strategic planning, sustainability, urban integration and methodology. Dr. Tarryn holds degrees from the Universities of Cape Town (PhD Arch. and TRP), Stellenbosch (MA Urban Geography) and Pretoria (BTRP cum laude), South Africa. She holds numerous awards and scholarships and is a member of the prestigious Golden Key International Honours Society. She has held the position of Deputy Director of Integrated Development Planning and Local Economic Development for a local municipality and has a range of practical experience in strategic planning, and urban design. She is a member of the South African Planning Institute and the International Society of City and Regional Planners.
