Biography
Taylor Carr is a specialist in leadership communication, global business practices, corporate training and media relations with extensive experience in higher education, sales and broadcasting.
At Arizona State University, he teaches Cross-Cultural Management, Leading Organizations, Negotiations and graduate courses in communication in the W. P. Carey School of Business. He was an adjunct faculty member and taught at Thunderbird School of Global Management from 2006-2017. His courses and programs included Managing People from a Global Perspective, Leading Change, On-Demand Global MBA, Effective Leadership Communication Program, Global Leadership Certificate Program and the Global MBA for Latin American Managers. He was also director of the Ken Blanchard Executive MBA at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix (2008-2010). where he was responsible for all academic and operational functions of the program, and adjunct professor from 2007-2017.
Taylor Carr Communications (www.taylorcarr.com) provides workshops and individual training and coaching to leaders ranging from CEOs to front-line supervisors. Clients include Eli Lilly and Co., T-Mobile, Coe and Van Loo Consultants, Option 1 Healthcare, Children’s Hospital of Omaha, Hospice of the Valley, Cox Communications, City of Glendale, Adventist Risk Management, International Healthcare Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Opavia-Kraft, CEZ Group and Rio Tinto Minerals.
He is certified as a Najafi Global Mindset Instructor and as a facilitator for Situational Leadership® II (Ken Blanchard Companies).
Earlier in his career, Mr. Carr was an award-winning television and radio broadcaster, including three-years as producer and co-host of FLW Outdoors on the Outdoor Life Network. He also spent two years working for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, where he helped launch the blockbuster drug Nexium.
He is a native of Virginia and now lives in the Phoenix area.
