Biography
Ted Heldring is an instructor in the Department of Finance & Real Estate at the Driehaus College of Business. At DePaul, Heldring teaches Introduction to Finance, Money and Banking and Commercial Banking. Heldring is an active member of the Banking & Capital Markets Academy Planning Committee. He was the winner of the 2019 Daniel Seiden Adjunct Teaching Award and serves on the board of directors for several privately held small businesses.
Prior to his teaching career, Heldring spent 33 years in the banking industry with a primary focus on syndicated and leveraged finance. He worked for JPMorgan (or predecessor firms) for 17 years culminating in the role of head of leveraged finance for the Midwest region. Much of his experience centered on leading mission-critical loan and bond financing for mid-sized and large corporate clients. Heldring's client and transaction experience ranged from Fortune 100 companies to middle-market leveraged companies in the industrials, consumer and retail, business services, energy and sports team finance industries.
