Terrence Curry, is a committed educator, award-winning architect and craftsman. A Loeb Fellow (Harvard 2001), he holds a B. Arch from the Pratt Institute (1984) and a Doctor of Architecture from Delft University of Technology (2017). He is a registered architect in New York with NCARB certification. Over the past 30 years Fr. Curry has taught at distinguished schools of architecture around the world, including Boston Architectural College, Tsinghua University, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, University of Detroit Mercy, UM Ann Arbor and UC Berkeley. With a commitment to service learning and design-build, Fr. Curry founded two community design centers: Detroit Collaborative Design Center at the University of Detroit Mercy (1994 – 2000); and Szent Jozsef Studio Kollegium, in cooperation with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (2003 – 2008). He was awarded the American Institute’s Young Architect of the Year, received an honorary degree from Archiworks and was a Fulbright Fellow. In all of his work, Fr. Curry seeks to integrate quality design, community service and education to make architecture for people that makes a contribution to the natural and built environment.
