Professor Norman’s research spans various topics in game theory, and most commonly centres on evolution and learning. His specific area of expertise is in game theory’s application to macroeconomic learning and equilibrium selection.

He teaches microeconomics and game theory. Previously, he taught economics of industry and macroeconomics.

Professor Norman has been a Fellow of Magdalen College since 2007. In addition, he is a consultant on quantitative trading strategies, the developer of educational and financial iPhone apps and a trustee of Magdalen College, Oxford.

He received his BA from St John’s College, Oxford, and MPhil and DPhil from Nuffield College, Oxford. From 2003 to 2007, he was Post-Doctoral Research Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford.
