Tim Khuu

Adjunct Professor at Pasadena City College

Biography

My name is Tim Khuu and I am a candidate for the M.Ed. in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs at the USC Rossier School of Education. This website serves as a reflection on the past two years in the program, my professional experiences in and out of USC, as well as a look towards my future after graduation. Enjoy!

A little bit about me: I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I graduated from undergrad in 2010 from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) with a Film and Media Studies degree. At UCI I was heavily involved in activities ranging from being a campus tour guide, to working in student housing, and being a member of Greek life. I spent two years after graduation living and teaching English in a South Korean high school. It was during these years where I had the opportunity to reflect on my life experiences and was inspired to pursue a career in Higher Education. I am a first generation college student and much of my education journey so far has been both exciting and mysterious. It is exciting because I am able to pursue my dreams, and also the dream of my parents who immigrated to America after the Vietnam War. It is a mystery to me because my future is not clearly defined yet, but I am beginning to shape it. I hope you take some time to see my journey so far!
