Timothy Lu

Timothy Jun Lu is a Ph.D. candidate at the Insurance and Risk Management Department of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is also a research assistant of Professor Olivia S. Mitchell since 2007. His research focuses on pensions and personal financial planning. His work on pension plan loans was funded by the TRIO research grant.

He received the Bradley Foundation Fellowship in 2007. He was also a NSERC Canada Undergraduate Summer Research Grant recipient in 2005. He worked as a software engineer for several years. He received the BA in Actuarial Science from York University, and the BS in Computer Science from Fudan University.
