Tim has been copywriting and editing for over two decades. He has written on topics for a variety of audiences across multiple genres, including construction, economics, environmental issues, philosophy, and the arts.

He believes in the power of simplicity above all, cutting through ambiguity, jargon and circumlocution to find the kernel of meaning – even when the topic is highly technical. Carefully considering each component of a message, Tim sculpts every sentence to lift the entire piece.

Tim has a PhD in English from the University of New South Wales, and has taught Rhetoric & Composition at West Chester University, Pennsylvania. He is currently studying a Master of Teaching at Deakin University, where he also co-convened two short courses on clear scientific writing.

Educational publishing has been a major focus of Tim’s career. He has edited and written copy for Insight Publications, as well as produced the internal and external communications material for Kilvington Grammar and St Michael’s Grammar School.

As a freelance trade journalist, Tim regularly interviews major industry figures around Australia for feature articles in Glass Australia and Windows Magazine.
