Expertise

Tjomme Rusticus is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Carlson School of Management. He holds a PhD in Accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He previously taught at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and London Business School.

 

Professor Rusticus teaches Intermediate Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis, and a PhD seminar at the Carlson School. His research focuses on several areas in accounting and finance including how (efficiently) investors use accounting information in capital markets, and the design and effectiveness of corporate governance and executive compensation arrangements. He has published several articles in top tier academic journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Accounting Research, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Review of Accounting Studies. He currently serves as an Associate Editor at the Journal of Accounting and Economics.
