WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management

Tobias Rölz (40) has been Head of Global IT at Komax AG since October 2017. The technology company, headquartered in Dierikon, Switzerland, is the market leader in automated wire processing. Rölz was previously Head of IT Workplace & Application Services at HiltiFastening technology AG.

The exact title of Rölz's new position is "Vice President Global IT & Digital Business". The IT manager reports directly to Matijas Meyer, CEO of the Komax Group. Until the position was filled, he headed IT on an interim basis.

Rölz has a degree in business informatics (FH) and worked in various IT management positions at Continental AG in Hamburg, Hanover and Shanghai from 1998 to 2008. Among other things, Tobias Rölz was responsible for IT in Asia and coordinated the IT integration of Siemens VDO in Asia.

From Hilti in Liechtenstein From 2008 to 2017, Rölz was part of the Global IT management team at Hilti in the Principality of Liechtenstein and Switzerland. Most recently, he was responsible for "Digital Workplace & Application Services" with a team of 120 employees at 25 locations and reported to Hilti's global CIO.

In 2017, Rölz won the "CIO Executive Award" from the CIO Foundation and thus a scholarship for the Executive MBA program at the Kellogg School of Management in Evanston (USA) and the WHU in Vallendar (Germany).
