Biography
Toyin Adeyemi is a writer, entrepreneur and leader who currently leads editorial strategy and writes for a financial institution. A graduate of the Creative Writing Program at the School of the Arts, Columbia University, Toyin holds a Master of Fine Arts degree and is currently an Executive MBA candidate at the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
As a creative producer, Toyin has taken part in a number of projects, including co-producing an immersive story-world that premiered at the United Nations' Envision Film Festival (click here for the whitepaper, which has been made available to the Creative Commons).
In 2014, Toyin was one of ten "Emerging Writers" to be selected to attend Festival des Écrivains in Paris, France. She participated on panels on global literature and read an excerpt from her novel-in-progress. Prior to that, she wrote beauty and jewelry advertisements as an Executive Copywriter at Macy's East and worked as a news correspondent for Women's eNews.
As of 2022, Toyin is the editorial lead of brand strategy and copywriting at a financial institution headquartered in Seattle, Washington. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Columbia Alumni Association/PNW, leading local charity efforts through her role as Philanthropy Chair.
