Experience
Internationally trained by the Center for Creative Leadership, Tsion has has brought about perspective shift and behavior change for over 500 young university women. Through facilitation and training across various development sectors, Tsion has trained multiple cohorts from 23 international NGOs, 3 bilateral organizations and 4 government agencies in Ethiopia, as well as 14 youth-focused CSOs in Mozambique. She has impacted over 2,100 people with engaging and relevant leadership development. Before joining the Center, Tsion took up a post as a teacher with Hope Enterprises School in Gambella, Ethiopia, teaching science and life skills to OVC children and providing long-term mentoring, coaching and youth-centric leadership development.
Current Role
Tsion focuses on designing, developing and contextualizing CCL’s Youth Leadership Programs. Concurrently she leads process facilitation, individual and group coaching, mentoring, and leadership development for senior level government and NGO staff. She also leads and supports training and curriculum design for longitudinal change management processes and organizational development.
In the past five years, the Center for Creative Leadership has begun to scale an initiative called Leadership Beyond Boundaries, taking leadership development beyond the domain of senior level executives at large multinational corporations to people everywhere who play a role in enacting leadership. Tsion has played a vital role in implementing this initiative, pioneering the Center’s work with youth. She recently facilitated a workshop with Program for Young Politicians in Africa, in Uganda.
