Tyler Macdonald achieved the highest honors, graduating summa cum laude from Ohio State University, where he earned his M.A. degree in Decision Psychology. Currently, he is enrolled at the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, where he is passionately pursuing a Ph.D. in Marketing. His research centers on consumer behavior and decision making, with a broad focus on understanding how individuals perceive and generate value.

His research inquiries delve into the factors that influence people's assessments of value across various domains, including money, time, effort, material possessions, and experiences. He is dedicated to unraveling the intricacies of why people assign value to these facets and how their actions reflect a desire for consumption to be considered worthwhile.

His academic pursuits are particularly directed towards exploring concepts such as mental accounting, self-signaling, justification effects, and judgments of utility.
