Vanessa M Guzzi

Dr. Vanessa Magnanini Guzzi, Esq. has been a full-time lecturer in the Business Law Department since 2005. Dr. Guzzi graduated from Vassar College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and attended Boston College Law School, where she earned her juris doctor degree and was Articles Editor for the Boston College Third World Law Journal.

Dr. Guzzi was admitted to the Florida Bar and United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 1998, and has practiced and consulted since that time. For several years, she was the law clerk for United States Magistrate Judge William C. Turnoff, where she drafted judicial opinions and advised the judge regarding issues of commercial, civil and constitutional law. Prior to clerking, Dr. Guzzi was engaged in private practice at the law firm of Greenberg Traurig, a leading international law firm, where she specialized in commercial litigation. Dr. Guzzi is a dual citizen of the United States and Italy, and is fluent in Italian, French and Spanish. She is the winner of the University of Miami’s School of Business Excellence in Teaching Award for 2012, as well as the University of Miami Association of Greek Letter Organizations’ Outstanding Faculty Member Award for 2015.
