Vellore Arthi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Irvine, and a Research Affiliate at the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Vellore is an applied microeconomist working at the intersection of economic history, labor economics, health economics, and economic demography. Her work falls into two main threads: one looking at early-life conditions, human capital formation, and cohort health; and another focused on migration as a mechanism through which individuals adjust to and propagate localized shocks.
