Dr. Vince Emanuele, has more than 12 years of experience researching and implementing machine learning systems in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Most recently, Vince was Head of Data Science at Wellcentive, a company focused on healthcare analytics. During his tenure at Wellcentive, Vince oversaw the research, design, and implementation of several game changing machine learning systems in Wellcentive's software platform. These machine learning systems include deep learning neural networks and ensemble classifiers.
Prior to Wellcentive, Vince was a visiting scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. At the CDC Vince developed novel approaches to analyzing mass spectrometry data using machine learning techniques, starting from the theoretical research and leading the work successfully through several phases until the machine learning system was applied to real clinical samples. This work resulted in numerous publications and a patent in progress.
Vince received a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. His research involved the application of wavelets and neural networks to interpret data in high-throughput mass spectrometry experiments studying cervical cancer.
Vince recently founded Embedded Intelligence and startup company that is pioneering machine intelligence solutions for national security. He serves at the CTO and is in charge of Embedded Intelligence's deep learning initiatives.
