Schulich School of Business

Raghunathan is an academic, corporate executive, author, and a columnist, and has featured among the top 50 Global Indian Management Thinkers of Thinkers Magazine for 2013, 2014 and 2015.

He taught finance and accounting at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, for nearly two decades, until 2001. He switched career as a banker for the next four years, serving as the President of ING Vysya Bank, in Bangalore. Since January 2005 he has been the CEO of GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, which over the last ten years he has steered towards several prestigious awards. He continues to pursue his academic interests as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Bocconi in Milan, Italy, and Schulich.

Raghunathan is a renowned author and columnist in India and currently blogs for the Times of India. He holds a doctorate from IIM, Calcutta.
