Wally Boudry is the Clara R. and Leo F. Corrigan, Sr. Endowed Chair and Clinical Professor of Real Estate. Prior to joining SMU, he taught both undergraduate and graduate real estate courses at Cornell University's SC Johnson College of Business, New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School An award winning teacher and researcher, his research expertise is in real estate capital markets, with a focus on real estate investment trusts (REITs). His recent publications have examined REITs' pricing efficiency, diversification benefits, repurchase decisions, dividend payout policy, and security issuance decisions. A regular presenter, session chair, and discussant at the annual AREUEA meetings, his papers have been published in Real Estate Economics, the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, the Journal of Corporate Finance, and the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting. He received his bachelor of commerce with first class honors and bachelor of economics from the University of Queensland, Australia, and his MPhil and PhD from New York University.
