Adjunct Assistant Professor
Wenjue Knutsen is jointly appointed at Smith School of Business and School of Policy Studies at Queen''s University. She teaches courses in organizational behavior, nonprofit management, and public management. Her academic interests include organizational theory, public and nonprofit management, China''s HIV/AIDS policy and nonprofit organizations in China. Dr. Knutsen''s works have appeared in Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly and State and Local Government Review. She is currently directing a study exploring how nonprofit organizations establish social enterprise, as well as a study examining the influence of ethno-specific organizations on social capital and organization network building in a Canadian context. She earned her PhD in Public Administration from Florida State University where she was the recipient of the Ruth "Sweetie" Cox Dissertation Award presented to the most promising PhD dissertation student. She also received the 2008 "Emerging Scholar Award" of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA).
