Hult International Business School

Dr. Wiebke Reile is German born and California raised, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. She is a doctoral graduate from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa’s Communication and Information Sciences program (May, 2019). Previously, she completed a Master of Science in Media Studies at Brooklyn College (2014) and Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism at Boston University’s School of Communication (2009). Her dissertation focused on how social movement organizations use social networking sites to engage citizens in collective action. Currently, she is working at Brooklyn College as an Adjunct Assistant Professor teaching Communication Research Methods. Concurrently, she is teaching Media Law and Ethics at Grand Canyon University online and is an Adjunct Faculty member at Hult International Business School where she teaches MBA students Digital Media and Communications. Moreover, she is working as a social media listening researcher and data analyst at Zenith Media (Publicis Groupe), providing proprietary research for Verizon Wireless. Her academic research is focused on digital activist organizations, civic engagement, social movements on social media.
