William Carlton Eacho

Bill Eacho studies and teaches about effective leadership; how leaders create change. He works on effective policy solutions to address the climate change challenge, and the politics of successfully putting those solutions to work. He has also has taught and lectured on international relations & foreign policy.

Eacho served as US Ambassador to Austria from 2009-2013, where he oversaw the multi-agency US government presence and was very involved in the State Department''s energy diplomacy efforts in support of a Southern Corridor gas pipeline to enhance European energy security. He served on the Energy & Security Task Force of the International Peace institute as well as on the IPI Vienna board. 

From 2014-2017, he served on the Senior Advisory Group to the Director of National Intelligence.

He serves as Chairman & Co-Founder of the Partnership for Responsible Growth, which leads the advocacy effort to price carbon at the federal level. 

Prior to becoming a diplomat, he was CEO of Carlton Capital Group, overseeing a diverse portfolio of private equity and real estate investments. He also had a twenty year career in foodservice distribution, building one of the nation''s leading distributors.
