William Ebsworth

Academic Division: FinanceBill teaches graduate finance at Babson College, and serves as an independent director on the boards of the Wells Fargo Funds, Forté Foundation, and Massachusetts General Hospital’s Vincent Memorial Endowment, where he chairs the audit committee. In 2015 he was selected to be a fellow in Harvard University’s year-long Advanced Leadership Initiative. In 2016 he was elected to the Independent Directors Governing Council in Washington DC. After earning a BA from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Bill joined Fidelity Investments in 1984, where he worked in Boston, Tokyo, and Hong Kong as an analyst, portfolio manager, research director, and chief investment officer until his retirement in 2013. In addition to volunteering in his community, Bill has served on the boards of Hong Kong Securities Clearing Corp., Hong Kong Options Clearing Corp., the Thailand International Fund, Fidelity Investments Life Insurance Company, and Empire Fidelity Investments Life Insurance Company.
