Biography
William Zink joined the DePaul adjunct faculty in 2014 after a 44-year career in public accounting. He is currently an instructor in the Master of Science in Taxation Program in DePaul's School of Accountancy & MIS, where he teaches individual taxation, an overview of the taxation of corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates, tax accounting periods and methods, the taxation of closely held businesses, tax research and transfer pricing. Zink is currently a tax technical author of internet-based tax courses for continuing professional development published by Thomson Reuters, covering topics such as international tax, value-added tax, corporate tax and partnership tax. He recently published a course for Thomson Reuters on the OECD’s Base Erosion Profit Shifting (BEPS) project. Zink has been a frequent lecturer for BNA/Council for International Tax Education and has had published articles in various technical tax publications.
He is a retired senior partner of Grant Thornton US LLP and a retired executive director of Grant Thornton International Ltd. In Grant Thornton US LLP, he was the partner in charge of international technical tax Services from the National Office in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. In Grant Thornton International Ltd, from London, he was in charge of global tax risk management and the tax education program of all member firms throughout the worldwide Grant Thornton International Network.
