Biography
Yanyan Xiong is a ZJU100 Young Professor in School of Economics at Zhejiang University. She joined the Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance as Research Fellow (Honorary) in 2021. Professor Xiong specializes on empirical studies in labor and development economics. Her publications cover human capital investment, education inequality and the interaction between international trade and Chinese labor market. Her current research projects include finding the laws of innovation in the world, the misallocation of human capital between state and non-state sectors in China and its impacts on economic efficiency, and the impacts of emerging technologies and aging on Chinese labor market.
