Yassin Sabha

Yassin Sabha (Rieti, Italy, 1987) is an Italian-Jordanian young economist specialized in Global Trade and Competitiveness currently working in Vienna (Austria) at the World Bank Group in the Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice (former Investment Climate Department ), Investment Policy and Promotion Team. At the World Bank Group Yassin advises developing countries' governments improve their investment policy in order to attract and retain Investment, both Foreign Direct and Domestic, working on issues related to investment incentives (tax and financial), investment entry, and investor protection rights.

Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Yassin has worked in organizations such as the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and CARANA Corporation . At the Italian Ministry of Economic Development Yassin joined the Minister's foreign affairs team and supported Italy's industry and trade policymaking. At CARANA Yassin supported the management of the Millennium Challenge Corporation – Moroccan Handicrafts SME Promotion Project and the USAID – West Africa Trade Hub Project. In addition to that, Yassin has in-the-field experience in Jordan, where he advised a family-owned real estate firm improve access to finance and the USAID-funded Business Development Center to create an alumni network for its youth vocational training program. Yassin has also consulted with an Italian web media agency start-up ( Goingo ) improving its marketing strategy.

Yassin has pursued a Master of Arts (MA) with Honors in International Economics and International Relations with concentration in Middle East Studies (2013) from the Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC At SAIS Yassin graduated with a thesis about the obstacles to economic growth in Jordan. Yassin also holds a Master of Science (MS) with Honors in Global Management with focus on Global Development (2010) from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, AZ, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management and Business Administration (2009) from Bocconi University in Milan.
