Biography
Professor Yih-Long Chang has published in major academic journals such as Annals of Operations Research, European Journal of Operations Research, Naval Research Logistics Quarterly, Management Science, International Journal of Production Research, Decision Support Systems, and Letters, Simulation, Journal of Operations Management, and Decision Sciences.
His current research interests emphasize the application and integration of operations management, information systems, management science, operations research, quality control techniques, and the improvement of quality and productivity.
Professor Chang teaches courses in the areas of quality control, management of technology, manufacturing information systems, operations planning and control, and operations management. He has also developed three software packages, QSB, QSOM, and QS, in both PC and Macintosh versions, to help in the instruction and learning of management science, operations management, and quantitative methods. QSB has been rated the top software package among similar packages by OR/MS Today (1986) and Interface (September 1988).
