Summary
Dr. Aaron Zhao finished his BEng degree in Eletrical and Eletronic Engineering from Imperial College London in 2016. He then recieved an MPhil degree in Advanced Computer Science in 2017 a PhD degree in 2022, both from the University of Cambridge. He joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2022, and he is now a Lecturer (or Assistant Professor in US terms) in Computer Engineering.
Dr. Aaron Zhao's research focuses on the intersections between hardware, algorithms, and security in the Machine Learning world. He is generally interested in making Machine Learning systems fast, reliable and efficient.
Dr. Aaron Zhao reviews for several hardware, system, and Machine Learning conferences, including ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, CVPR, etc. He also leads the DeepWok Research Lab.
Dr. Aaron Zhao was a recipient of the prestigious Junior Research Fellowship at St John’s College, the University of Cambridge in 2021, and was awarded as an Apple Scholar in AI and ML in 2020.
