Research interests
- Developed advanced electrolytes with high Coulombic efficiency for stably cycle Li metal anodes. • Demonstrated Li metal batteries (coin cells and pouch cells) with high energy density and reasonable cycle life • Developed advanced electrolytes for extreme fast charging (XFC) of Li-ion batteries. • Developed polymer-ceramic composite electrolytes for solid-state batteries • Measured the materials properties (Li solid diffusion coefficient and exchange current density) of NMC811 cathode materials • Contributed to the development of Li-ion batteries (pouch cells) with high safety and high performance • Contributed to the development of ceramic-salt composite electrolytes from cold-sintering for solid-state batteries
- Identified the fade mechanism of Li-ion batteries with graphite anodes and NMC622 cathode (high power and high energy type). • Measured the materials properties (Li solid diffusion coefficient and exchange current density) of NMC622 cathode materials • Contributed to the development of all climate battery (ACB) technology • Developed alkaline membrane fuel cells and water electrolyzers • Contributed to the development of anion-exchange membranes for fuel cells
