Yooil Bae

Yooil Bae ("Joseph") is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration at Dong-A University, Busan, South Korea. Formerly he worked as a full-time Lecturer and Founding Faculty at Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management at Fulbright University Vietnam (FUV, 2018-21). Before joining FUV, he was also an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Singapore Management University (2008-2017) and Postdoctoral Fellow at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (2007-8). He is the co-author of two books in English and a monograph in Korean . He is specialized in comparative politics and public policy, East Asian politics, urban and regional political economy and state-civil society relationships. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (2007), M.A. in public administration from Korea University (2000), and B.A. in public administration from Inha University, South Korea.
