Yu Jiang obtained his B.S. degree in Computational Mathematics in 2001 from Nanjing University, M.S. degree in Mathematical and Computer Sciences in 2004 from Colorado School of Mines, M.S. degree in Actuarial Science in 2007 and Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics in 2009 from University of Iowa.

He is currently an associate professor at the Department of Finance and Insurance, School of Business, Nanjing University, researching and teaching in the fields of financial markets and financial econometrics. He has published more than 10 papers in SSCI/SCI journals such as the Journal of Econometrics and published more than 20 papers in CSSCI journals such as Financial Research and Economist.

He is the principal investigator of several research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation of the Ministry of Education, the Doctoral Foundation of the Ministry of Education and the National Postdoctoral Foundation, and the major researcher in a number of national research projects. He is currently serving as the executive editor of Nanjing University Business Review and the anonymous reviewer of several domestic and foreign journals.
