Biography

Yixin Zhang is a professor in the Department of landscape Architecture at Soochow University, China. He has rich international research experiences for conducting aquatic ecology research in Sweden, Canada (British Columbia), USA (California and Texas), Hong Kong, and China over 30 years. He received his M.S. in 1992 and Ph.D. in Animal Ecology in 1998 at Umeå University, Sweden. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) to conduct research at University of California at Santa Barbara, USA, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at University of British Columbia, Canada. After that he worked at University of Hong Kong, and then at Texas State University. He has over 60 peer-reviewed publications among that many were published in top ecological journals, including Science Advances, Journal of Applied Ecology, Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, Journal of Animal Ecology, Ecological Applications, Oikos, Oecologia, Freshwater Biology, Scientific Reports, and Science of the Total Environment.
