Biography

Dr. Leibowitz is an anesthesiologist and intensivist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and the director of the division of ENT anesthesia. When not busy performing focused ultrasound in critical care, Dr. Leibowitz explores ways to incorporate ultrasound intothe management of patients with ear, nose and throat pathologies.
Dr. Leibowitz is also the director of the critical care fellowship ultrasound education and has been extensively involved in ultrasound teaching in the US and across the globe.
Together with colleagues in the US, Palestine and Israel – he organized and co-directed the first ever joint Palestinian – Israeli point of care ultrasound course, bringing together 60 Palestinian and Israeli physicians to improve patient care in the region.
