Albert Fernández is a Professor in IESE?s Accounting and Control Department and Entrepreneurship Department. Since 2009, he has been the director of Finaves, the venture capital platform that invests in IESE alumni projects.
He also teaches courses such as Analysis of Business Problems and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). He is the academic director of a focused program on strategy implementation and a program for social entrepreneurs.
His areas of interest are entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on early stages, the keys to growth for SMEs, corporate governance with a focus on SMEs and family businesses, and the use of management processes such as planning, budgeting, evaluation and compensation.
He has extensive experience in consulting and has served and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of several companies.
