Alex R Horenstein

I am on the Economics faculty of the University of Miami. The focus of my research is financial econometrics, financial economics (quantitative asset pricing), and experimental and behavioral economics with special emphasis on real world applications. Before joining the University of Miami faculty I was on the Finance faculty of Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Economics in Mendoza (Argentina), I was awarded a full scholarship at Arizona State University and obtained a Ph.D. in Economics. My research in Financial Econometrics and Financial Economics has been featured in major financial news outlets such as Bloomberg and the Financial Times. My research in experimental economics has received media coverage from several outlets like TechXplore, Chicago Tribune, LA Times, CNN en Español, Vox, and The Conversation. I have published my work in leading scientific journals like Econometrica, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of the European Economic Association, and Management Science.
