Alison, a qualified lawyer, practised law for 24 years (1985-2009) as a civil litigator enjoying a reputation for excellence & winning unwinnable cases. As a business entrepreneur Alison founded and, as managing partner, successfully ran for 13 years a boutique legal practice specialising in personal injury and clinical negligence acquiring extensive business leadership experience at both strategic and operational level.

Alison acquired governance expertise as a Non-Executive Director in the 3rd sector (profit for purpose) 2010 -2018 becoming Board Chair at Incommunities (Bradford Housing Association) & Relate (Mid-Yorkshire) managing strategic change, performance & risk.

Alison retrained as a leadership & development Coach in 2014. She brings her business experience & professional credibility to the legal arena providing development support to lawyers & legal firms who wish to invest in their future. This includes sole practitioners, Legal 500 firms & Magic circle international law firms.

Alison as a leadership coach has worked with top layer leaders from the Indian Administration service (IAS) FTSE 100 engineering companies

Alison as a motivational facilitator also works with wounded sick & Injured veterans and service leavers at the Ministry of Defence, Help for Heroes & the Royal British Legion.
