Biography
Bayes Business School
Amanda joined City in 2009 and works within and across multi-disciplinary teams in investigative projects, community building and networking. Her current work involves two projects INJECT and Boosting Resilience. INJECT supports creativity through a tool that makes it easier to find new story ideas and angles by presenting articles, individuals and cartoons associated with a topic, but also by offering various options to explore concepts, visuals and data in a novel way: https://injectproject.eu/ Boosting Resilience: Survival Skills for the New Normal is an intense, boundary-pushing and catalytic two year Executive Learning programme running from 2017 to 2020: http://www.boostingresilience.net/ It aims to enable senior staff from England-based arts and cultural organisations, music education hubs, museums and library services to develop new approaches to making the most of Creative Assets and Intellectual Property.
Other recent work has involved project management of Nominet funded Extraordinary Evidence supporting an SME in digitizing part of its current business. In addition to organising and managing multi-disciplinary workshops involving public participation for the arts, technology and energy domains as part of a number of different research projects. These projects have been commissioned to evaluate public services, including service design and delivery, cost effectiveness and value for money. Co-ordinating the activities for the Centre she designs and runs a number of events and networking activities. She also leads the marketing strategy for the Centre for Creativity, and is responsible for developing the Centre’s online presence through its website and social media. She has a Bachelors in Economics and Geography from Newcastle University and completed a PhD in the Centre for Public Policy at Northumbria University, investigating cultural urban regeneration.
