Biography

Cranfield School of Management

Andrew Haworth is a visiting fellow of Cranfield University. He is a lecturer and counsellor on the Business Growth Programme (BGP) and Programme Director of both The Essential Management Programme and the Finance Fundamentals Programme.

Andrew has a degree in economics and an MBA from Cranfield

He is co-founder and MD of Psychology and Finance at Work Ltd. a training and consultancy provider and (until its recent sale) was FD of VillageBroadband.com a company he also co-founded. He has successfully managed a number of property development projects and profitably traded in antiques for many years.

Andrew has a strong background as an educator, teaching all aspects of “commercial awareness”, financial and non-financial analysis. He has designed and run a wide variety of training events from basic finance for non-financial managers to foreign exchange for managers and advanced corporate finance programmes. A lot of Andrew’s work has been with banks in the field of credit, teaching lenders to analyse businesses and assess risk – including sector analysis and understanding capital markets programmes.

Given his passion for our national game, Andrew’s favourite ever consultancy project was a 2-year stint as a member of the FA England Commission Research Team, reporting to Greg Dyke on ways to improve the future prospects for the England national football team.

Current activities

Andrew divides his time between developing property (he is currently managing a barn conversion in rural Northamptonshire); working at Cranfield and as a tutor on executive education programmes at London Business School; and developing and running training programmes or undertaking consultancy assignments for a range of client companies.
