I initiated the Leading Innovation Excellence Programme together with Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship since I believe it serves a need for Innovation Drivers to leverage from the knowledge that’s out there, both from the academic world and from practice. On the one hand I get a kick out of helping others with the knowledge and experience I built over the years. On the other hand the challenges the participants face keep me sharp and provide me with opportunities to learn as well. As a practitioner coach, my role is to work closely together with the participants to assess their innovation challenges, analyze and understand the root causes and work together with them when they create their plans to improve the innovation excellence of their organisations. I help participants to look from a systemic change perspective to their innovation context to pinpoint where opportunities to mature arise and help them with articulating the plans for their personal impact project.

An unique programme

The combination of the different modules draws quite an extensive holistic view of what’s needed to set your organisation up for success in innovation. Depending on their needs and the innovation context and maturity of their organisations, participants can choose what fits best: the full programme, or parts of it. A lot of other existing programs in the market focus on one part only, while the real success mostly comes from fitting all the puzzle pieces together. Even if participants choose for a separate module, the setup of the programme helps the participants to not lose sight of the bigger picture.

Added value for particpants

One of the key benefits I see in this programme, is that it gives participants the opportunity and tools to reflect on the innovation context of their organisations. Because this is fed by knowledge and experience from both the academic world and from practice, it provides them with an opportunity to assess the bigger picture of innovation maturity on the one hand, but also helps them with defining concrete steps in creating an impact in their personal roles. I know that setting up for innovation is not easy. Our participants know this too, I hope that’s why they join the programme. Any progress, large or small, where we have helped participants to improve the innovation excellence of their organisations is a success for me. On programme level success means that we have helped participants to understand the bigger picture and systemic approach of innovation, so they understand their context better and what’s needed to create an impact, for themselves and for their organisations.
