Biography

Professor O’Brien has been a registered nurse since 1979 and has worked as an RN in general nursing and mental health (psychiatric nursing). He was at the forefront of the Australian nursing shift from hospital based education into the higher education sector when at the University of Technology Sydney, Kuringai campus. Tony has accumulated diverse clinical experiences ranging from acute mental health units, community mental health and crisis intervention and general medical and aged care work.
