HEC Paris

Blaise Allaz is professor of finance.

Blaise Allaz received his Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University in 1987. He also holds a M.A. degree from Queen’s University (Canada) and a Bachelor degree from the University of Lausanne. He served as chairman of the HEC Finance & Economics Department (1996-99) and was the HEC Dean of Faculty & Research from 1999 to 2003.

His research and teaching interests focus on international financial markets and the strategic use of forward contracts in a noncompetitive framework. He is the author with Bernard Dumas of «Financial Securities: Market Equilibrium & Pricing Methods» (Chapman & Hall), the French version of which (PUF 1995) was awarded the 1997 HEC Foundation Prize for best professors’ textbook.
