UW Professional & Continuing Education
Bob Tsigonis holds a bachelor's in engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College and master's from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He is a registered engineer whose environmental engineering experience in Alaska began in 1973. Lifewater Engineering Company designs and manufactures innovative, on-site sewage treatment systems for cold climates and remote sites.
Tsigonis holds U.S. and Canadian patents on these cold-climate sewage treatment systems and a U.S. patent on a fluid distribution box that distributes fluid equally from all ports regardless of the orientation of the box. He volunteers with organizations dedicated to improving health in underdeveloped areas around the world. Tsigonis has taught the environmental engineering sections of this course since 2005.
