Biography

IE Business School

Professor Brad Skousen has always had a passion for higher education. In Brad's view, few activities in life bring more excitement and satisfaction than the acquisition and application of knowledge. Perhaps, in no greater context is this more relevant than in the classroom (virtual or in-person) and in the student-teacher relationship. In recent years, assessment tools have brought new challenges that require us to re-think and improve how we assess our students. Brad believes that Examind's approach to assessments is just the solution that administrators, instructors, and students are looking for. Not only does he believe in Examind's solution but he also seeks to emulate Examind's core values in delivering higher education to all of his students.

Brad earned his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Business Administration with a focus on entrepreneurship, international business, and strategic management. He also earned a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University and a bachelor degree in accounting from Utah State University. Brad taught both graduate and undergraduate courses at the University of Illinois and The Ohio State University before he joined IE University in Madrid, Spain, where he currently teaches entrepreneurship in the full-time MBA, Global Online MBA, and Masters in Managment programs. His research has been published in Strategy Science, Global Strategy Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Management International Review, among others.

Brad is a licensed certified public account (CPA) licensed in the state of California. He is also a Lemann Fellow of the Lemann Foundation based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

On a personal level, Brad enjoys traveling (40 + Countries), studying foreign languages, backpacking, tennis, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family (5 kids).
