Brian has over 40 years of experience in technical due diligence for banking and investment. He was the Chief Engineer of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and was instrumental in the lending assessments for infrastructure projects – starting with the M4 and M5 toll roads in the early 1990s - and a wide range of mining, power, transport, industrial and construction projects for the bank.
Since retiring from full-time corporate positions in 2008, Brian has acted as a director on seven companies, including large infrastructure projects. He has also provided a due diligence consulting service to Northern Area Infrastructure Fund and produced several expert reports for the Federal Court and Supreme Court of Queensland.
Over 30 years, he has provided guest lectures at the USyd, Macquarie, UNSW and UTS in areas related to risk and investment. He has also lectured on Project Evaluation at the School of Civil Engineering, USyd.
