Professor Gallimberti's research interests are: debt contracts, borrower-lender information asymmetrics, and banks' and firms' investing and financing decisions. He actively investigates how the accounting information provided by firms influences their relationships with lenders and lending decision outcomes. Specifically, Gallimberti's research focuses on whether borrowing firms change their governance structure when they engage in intense relationships with one or more banks, how the convenent structure of loan contracts relate to the firms' risk-taking behaviors and whether borrowers' accounting information ultimately improves the outcome of banks' lending decisions.
