Christina Ramberg

Biography

I am specialised in contract law. My PhD analysed the seller's liability in M&A-transactions. I have published monographies on nondisclosure, notice in case of breach of contract, electronic commerce, auctions and share holder agreements. I am generally interested in international harmonisation of contract law and have been engaged in work by UNIDROIT, UNCITRAL, The International Chamber of Commerce and the Study Group for a European CIvil Code. I have created a restatement of Swedish contract law, freely available at www.avtalslagen2020.se. I have published many articles in Swedish and English.

Lately I have become interested in precedents as a source of Swedish law and I published a monography on this topic in 2017.

I write student literature on general Private Law (Malmströms Civilrätt), Contract Law (Allmän avtalsrätt) and Sources of Law (Rättskällorna en introduktion i kritiskt tänkande). I have developed a contract negotiation game (CREW-games).

I am intererested in how law functions in practice. I have worked five years in a large law firm and as a judge in the appeal court. I am still often engaged as arbitrator and expert advisor to lawers.
